Product title Guidelines
  • Title must not contain characters for decoration such as (| <> # * _ $: ‘).
  • Most people use (|) sign for the sake of separation of the keywords words in the title.
  • Utilize the full 200 characters in the Amazon product Title. It really helps to index and rank all the main tail keywords.
  • Make sure to cover all the different roots of keywords in the title. For example, if garlic press Is the main keyword of the product then make sure to use the root keywords of the product such as (presser, crusher, smasher, etc).
  • Make sure that you cover the material, quantity, size; pack, color or whatever detail regarding your product in the first half of your product to ensure the buyer understands the whole product easily.
  • Without going into the product detail page the buyer must understand about your product, So follow these Amazon product title guidelines.

Essential Component of an Amazon Product Title:

    • Main relevant keywords these keywords are not more three or four which are very essential and all the long tail and mid tails keywords have roots of these main keywords.
    • Information related to the product such as (size, color, quantity, material, pack) must be included in the first half of your product title that may be difficult to find in the product image or in the description.
    • All the mid tail keyword or gap keyword that have potential put those keywords in the title and we can replace those keyword after 2 or 3 months. These keywords will help to rank or get traction quickly as compared to the main keyword

  • Note: We won’t play with the main keyword. Here we will only replace the mid tail keywords.

    • This keyword that we get from cerebro use in the title to get more organic traction.

    • Because customers do not always type the main or exact search terms they use simple and small keywords. These keywords can be use in the end of the title to describe more clearly about our product functionality or usage.

    • identify and play with the misspelled keywords or search terms. We mostly put the misspelled keywords in the back-end search terms but if those keywords have good search volume can be used in the bullet point or even the title of the product.

    • Put the keyword in the exact form in the title. These also help in the PPC campaign to make sure that the title in your PPC campaign and the keyword in the title are an exact match.

Note: The order of the keywords in your PPC and title must be same(exact).
